This is their story, the two people having the baby, and this particular chapter of the story is just the one where I happened to come in and make a brief appearance. But their story will continue after me, and it was going on before me. It’s a window into the private miracle of the creation of life that we’ve all been given access to, and it’s beautiful.

They were bound together by this belief in the power of love, and the life that they created together. It connected them, gave them new depths to their relationship, and you could see this in the photos. The session may not have taken that long, but the photos that were taken really helped to capture the spirit of the occasion.

The amount of trust and love I could feel from both of them was incredibly exciting, and it made me feel so privileged to be there. It wasn’t just about taking the photos after a while – it was about capturing the love and connection of two people that were going to start an exciting new chapter in their lives together.

One of the things I love most about maternity photoshoots is that you can really be part of an incredible chapter in the life of a couple and a family. You can contribute in a meaningful way to the story of two people who care for each other, two people who are welcoming a new life (or lives), into their world. That, right there, is something truly special. It’s a privilege to be able to commemorate that precious sentiment in a photo session.
