17 May Socially Distanced Spring Pregnancy Photo Session in London
With ongoing concerns about health and safety, a socially distanced maternity session can provide peace of mind for expectant parents. You shouldn’t have to compromise on capturing these precious moments because of safety worries. By choosing an outdoor location like Hyde Park, we can take full advantage of open spaces, fresh air, and beautiful scenery while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Hyde Park offers the perfect setting for a socially distanced shoot. With its wide-open lawns, serene lakes, and charming pathways, it provides a stunning backdrop without the need for close contact. You can feel relaxed and comfortable, knowing we’re taking precautions to keep everyone safe.
When Should You Book Your Session?
The best time to book a maternity session is typically between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. At this stage, your bump is beautifully round, but you’re not yet at the discomfort level of late pregnancy. It’s a good idea to plan ahead and book early, especially if you want to secure a session during a specific time of year or when the weather is likely to be mild. Hyde Park is stunning year-round, but spring and early autumn offer particularly lovely conditions, with blooming flowers or vibrant foliage.
If you have any concerns about safety, let me know when booking. I’m happy to discuss your preferences and ensure we can tailor the session to meet your comfort level.
How I Make Your Session Comfortable and Safe
Your safety and comfort are my top priorities. Here’s what I’ll do to ensure a safe, socially distanced maternity session:
- Using Longer Lenses: I’ll use telephoto lenses, which allow me to maintain a safe distance while still capturing intimate, close-up shots. This approach ensures that I can photograph the small details like your smile and the gentle touch on your baby bump without needing to get too close.
- Hygiene and Safety Measures: I will bring hand sanitiser, and all my equipment will be sanitised before and after each session. I won’t handle any of your personal items, and I’ll wear a mask throughout the shoot if you prefer.
- Posing from a Distance: I’ll guide you through poses using clear verbal directions instead of physical adjustments. We’ll use natural elements of the park, like benches, trees, and pathways, to create a variety of beautiful, relaxed poses that showcase your bump and your connection with your partner or family.
- Choosing Open, Quiet Spots: Hyde Park is expansive, so we can easily find quieter, less crowded areas for the session. This helps us maintain social distance and avoid interruptions, allowing you to feel comfortable and focused during the photoshoot.
